    大面阵全帧转移 CCD因阵列规模大,不仅存在一定比例的坏像元,且器件内部普遍存在 brighter-fatter效应。这将影响由图像数据计算的时域方差值和灰度均值,导致器件光子转移曲线的计算不准确,影响利用光子转移曲线结果进行进一步计算的器件参数的精准度。为提高大面阵全帧转移 CCD探测器光子转移曲线非线性的评价准确性,文章提出一种图像处理和校正方法。该方法通过对图像数据分块、合并、剔除坏像元,校正坏像元引起的图像时域方差变小问题,减小 brighter-fatter效应引起的相邻像元相关性,进而提高器件光子转移曲线的非线性和多通道增益的准确度。结果表明,器件光子转移非线性平均提高 97%,同一器件的各通道增益经过图像处理均修正在同一增益范围内。所提算法提升了大面阵全帧转移 CCD器件的测试准确度和测试效率,对超高分辨率科学仪器用探测器的研究具有重要应用价值和指导意义。

    Abstract:

    Large-format full-frame transfer charge-coupled devices(CCDs)feature large array sizes,and their output images typically contain defective pixels. In addition,the brighter-fatter effect exists widely in CCD detectors. Both factors affect the temporal variance and gray-scale mean calculated from image data,resulting in inaccurate measurement of the devices’photon transfer curve and a significant reduction in the accuracy of device parameter estimation. To improve the accuracy of evaluating the photon transfer curve nonlinearity for large-format full-frame transfer CCD detectors, this study investigated image processing and correction methods. By partitioning,merging image data,and eliminating defective pixels,the problem of reduced temporal variance of images caused by defective pixels was corrected,the correlation between adjacent pixels induced by the brighter-fatter effect was reduced,and the accuracy of evaluating the photon transfer curve nonlinearity and multi-channel gain of the device was improved. The results show that the photon transfer nonlinearity of the device was improved by an average of 97%,and the gains of all channels of the same device were corrected to a common range after image processing. The proposed algorithm enhanced the measurement accuracy and efficiency of large-format full-frame transfer CCDs,which has significant practical value and may guide future research on detectors used in ultra-high-resolution scientific instruments.
